For some of our line scan camera boards, we offer specially customized versions in which the protective cover glass of the sensor is removed and/or a special UV coating is applied. These variants are intended exclusively for users who are familiar with handling unprotected image sensors (e. g., in development, laboratory, or research environments). For details, see the description of the relevant variants below!

Eureca line scan camera module in the standard version

Sensor configuration: Basic configuration

This module uses the standard version of the TCD1304DG and is therefore suitable for general measurement tasks in the visible spectral range.

The line scan camera board presented here is a particularly cost-effective alternative in the EDU version in the evaluation variant: without FPGA, but with full functionality for typical educational applications (EDU for Education).  Instead of complex hardware logic, a microcontroller handles USB data transfer – ideal for teaching laboratories, STEM projects, and anyone who wants to make spectroscopy understandable and affordable. make spectroscopy understandable and affordable. Operation is possible in 8-bit mode and 12-bit mode.

Despite being slightly slower than the STD version, the EDU variant impresses with reliable data quality, easy integration, and an excellent price-performance ratio.
